Add / edit the Internet service

Internet connection ensured by WiFi, LAN, FTTB, ADSL technologies. By adding a person into the contacts bookmark, you will create a record of a contact in the system (potential customer, not connected yet, partners, etc.). A contact becomes a customer when you add any arbitrary service to them, in this case the Internet service. The service will technically be set up on devices and the service invoicing will be started.

Name of the service

The name of the service does not have to be filled in if there is only one Internet service assigned to them. If there are more of them (eg. branches), you can choose your own description to more easily identify the services.

Connected since

The date since the client has the service had set.

Invoice since

The date since when the service will be billed for. Often since the first day of the next month, but you can choose any other day and then an aliquote part will be stated to a number of days.

Invoicing period

Select the required invoicing period: not bill, monthly, quarterly, biannually, and yearly. It is useful to utilize the option of quarterly invoicing period which is set as a default for the quarterly alignment because of the VAT. The quarterly alignment may be switched off in the settings of Invoicing / Settings / Public, here you activate the item of Floating invoicing period.

Invoice separately

Defaultly set behavior of invoicing is when the client has more services (Internet, VoIP and Public) had assigned, all are consolidated onto one invoice. If you wish to issue each invoice separately, mark it. Thus you will get separate invoices for each service.

Number of the contract

You do not have to fill in this because the client number will be used defaultly. This information may be filled in for example in the case when we use more detailed distinction of the clients' contracts.

Minimum contract period

Enter the number of months to which the customer has obliged to undertake the use of the service, and automatically the date will be filled in the field of "Contract period".

Contract period until

The contract period. When you add a contract period, the previous contract period will be calculated as well.

Installation address

Automatically, the client`s address is expected. If the extension-line is located elsewhere, mark "Different installation address" and fill in a new address.

User type

There are values in the menu to be chosen from the list of Settings / Codebooks / User type where you can define you own user types, eg. according to the connection type ( WIFI, LAN, FTTB, ADSL ).

Tariff

Here you can choose one out of several tariff rates which you have defined in the menu of Settings / Tariffs / Internet. Thus the coherent items ( Download, Upload, Price, Tariff description in the invoice ) will automatically be filled in too.

If you do not choose any tariff rate, you will keep the value "Unlisted", and you can set the coherent items manually indpendently on the preset tariff rates as well as select an individual price for the particular service.

Download, Upload

The settings of the receiving and sending data. May be entered only when there is no preset tariff listed. If a preset tariff rate is selected, the values of both speeds will be calculated according to the given tariff rate.

Queue Tree

In most cases it is not necessary to fill this item in, the system will set up all own QTs automatically. This setting should be used while creating special QTs. It shows a list of defined QTs, which may be used for adding clients, on a selected router. A special QT needs manual defining on the Mikrotik and after that adding to the ISP admin and needs testing. You can choose a QT only when there is the aggregation 1:1 set, otherwise a QT selection will not be displayed. More information about the options of setting own QTs to be found in the ISPadmin-shaping.pdf guidebook.

Router

Choose a router to which individual customers will be connecting. When you select an offered router, you will see also their IP addresses. Here shaping is done or a superior one must be set.

Connection point

The connection point is a router wireless card through which a client enters your network.

Monitor the user

By enabling this service, ping graphs of a specific client will begin to be drawn. You do not have to enable ping on all the clients, only on those who frequently report some problems. If the choice is active, the ping on a client ( 20 packets at size of 500 bytes ) will be launched and then the final feedback as well as the error rate will be drawn into the graph. Thus the entire history of the client extension-line for future problem solving.

Client setting through DHCP

In the overview of the service details, which the customers get in a printed form, the text of "Setting through DHCP" appears instead of the IP addresses (wlan address, gateway). In many cases clients tried to enter these addresses into the connection settings after they had reinstalled their own computers and the Internet did not work after these attempts. Thus they will more easily understand that it is enough to keep the choice of "Load through DHCP".

Allow SMTP

Upon enabling this item, you will allow the client to communicate on port 25. Within the default setting Settings / System settings / Linux the item Block SMTP port 25, sent mail is blocked as a protection against sending spam from the virus-infected client computers.

Allow SSH

Upon enabling the item, you will allow the client to access port 22 from the outer network. Within the settings Settings / System settings / Linux the item Block SSH into the network, the access to the network on port 22 is blocked as a protection against automatic robots which try to log in to running network devices.

Suspend the service

If a client has violated the terms of the contract in some way, you may immediately Pokud klient porušil nějakým způsobem smluvní podmínky, můžete zde okamžitě službu internet pozastavit.

Cause of suspension

The system differentiates disconnected users according to several profiles: Not listed, Bad payer, Not registered, and others which you define yourself in the bookmark of Settings / Info Page. If the client has their service suspended due to for example not paying or due to sending spam, the invoice will be issued for the client within the next invoicing period. More on suspending services in the section for Frequently Asked Questions - FAQ

Suspend the service automatically

Suitable in cases when the client has not been near their extension-line for a longer period of time, eg. due to travelling abroad, part-time job, long-term hospitalization, etc. If a customer shows some effort to agree on time-limited service suspension, you can easily meet their needs and suspend the service to a limited period of time, including invoicing. The Internet thus does not run and the service is not billed.

MAC address of the end device

The physical bridge address. MAC address of the end device is submitted only in cases when the client has some HW device which works in the bridge mode. If you do not list the MAC address, the system will try to detect it automatically. The system checks the ARP table of all routers every single hour and when it finds the IP address, it will automatically fill in and detects the MAC address. The information on detected MAC addresses may be displayed under the bookmark of Logger / MAC addresses.

IP address of the end device

The IP address of the end device is submitted here only when a client jas some HW device which works in the bridge mode. It means that a client has two IP addresses. The first IP address is for the end device and the other is the own IP address of the client´s computer to which the speed limit is designed.

Hardware of the end device

Choose the type of end device installed to a client. The overview and edits in the bookmark of Settings / Codebooks / End device the group of "Clients´ end devices".

MAC address of the user

Client´s MAC address of the wlan interface. The system automatically loads MAC addresses from the router once an hour. If you have Firewall MAC filter enabled and if you add a new client, you do not have to fill the MAC address in. The ISP admin will in this case allow a client on the FW and when the client gets connected, it will load this MAC address from the ARP table on the router and will add it to the system. Then, the IP address and MAC address relationship will be "locked".

The MAC address must be filled in in case we use Wireless MAC filter. You thus must enter the MAC address of the client router before the physical installation of the device otherwise the client would not be connected to the AP.

IP address of the user

The IP address under which the client is listed in the system, ie. the routerboard wlan interface address (routed network), or PCI card wireless ( bridged network ). The ISP admin automatically offers the first free IP from the range of the addresses designated to the goven router. By clicking on the icon of a magnifier, the table of ranges will be displayed where you will see the gateway address, the addresses used for the router, clients, etc.

Routed networks

Adding routed networks to a given client. This is not used very much but if a customer has a router, it is neccessary to re-route the public addresses to the customer´s router, for example for web servers. Here you can submit the range of the routed IP ranges. In case these ranges were not listed in the client card, the system would shape them and these IP addresses would not either be limited.

Note

Installation fee

If you charge this kind of fee, you can file the price for the installation. This is only an informational record, it does not appear in the invoice.

Refundable advanced payment

We can file the amount of the refundable advanced payment which will be refunded after the termination of the contract. Again, this is only an informational record which does not appear in the invoice.
