ISP admin features

The current version of the ISP admin application: 3.47

Within the time of six-year development, a number of technological solutions, such as WIFI, CATV, DVBC, VoIP and RADIUS, have been implemented and complemented with a number of interesting functions and improvements designed directly by our customers. The ISP admin system is being constantly developed and new features and functions are being gradually developed and implemented, see the bookmark Others / Changelog.

Implementation of the ISP admin system

  • Quick installation; the system is completely pre-arranged by our company, which allows you to run the installation of the server within several minutes (not hours or even days); it is enough for the installation to own standardized hardware.
  • In regards to the complexity of such a large-scale system, we have elaborated a detailed handbook which will help you with the implementation of the system into the environment of your network so that it runs gradually and without bigger problems and without failures of services provided. It is in no way a single-shot event which might cause malfunction of the whole network.
  • The possibility of the integration of our solution for webhosting providing, a sister application LightKeeper Pro. You thus can run both the systems on one physical server.
  • Thanks to the architecture client-server and the technology PHP, it is possible to attend the system from any computer or a laptop connected to the Internet just through a common web browser. It is thus possible to run the settings, field monitoring, or to view over invoicing tasks and statistics from home.
  • Within the system, it is of course possible to create several administrator accounts and thus separate different tasks, powers and responsibilites. Various accesses to information and system items are designed for a technician, an accountant, and/or the ower of the company. Users` events are logged and can be tracked later in the history of events undergone within the system.


Full support of MikroTik routers

  • Full support of Mikrotik routers including the new API interface
  • On Mikrotik routers, ISPadmin performs a complete firewall, Mangle and Queue Tree settings.
  • The ISPadmin has currently been the best system in orientation onto the favorite Mikrotik routers.
    • It is easy to identify all the settings, such as firewall rules, adding connection points, network boundaries and especially adding clients, settings of speed, rate scales and FUP, through the web boundaries of the system, without any need to connect routers and manually carry out the modifications. The system performs all this automatically.
    • The system works in all cases only with the delineated rules and thanks to this fact it is possible to add more own firewall rules and limits for Queue Trees.
    • Automatic configuration updates of all the routboards run periodically every five minutes and thus only distance settings are transferred, which always ensures updated settings of the whole network. This method ensures lower operation of the network and especially reduction in inscribing on minimum so that the possibility of occurance of deficient blocks on router flash discs was minimized.
    • The new API interface allows better in-writing of the rules and mainly compared to current SSH it allows reading a large number of statistic data from which ISPadmin is able to generate various statistics and graphs.
    • Within the system, there is a part called MikroTik status restricted for a synoptical monitoring, in which it is possible to go through the details of all the Mikrotik routers such as the Type CPU, Architecture, Frequency, Version HW, the number of connected channels. As another part there is information on client routers, where we can see the strength of the signal, noise, values Tx CCQ (which expresses the quality of a WiFi lines) and others. From these data the WiFi signal graphs for all the clients are generated, which are created for daily, weekly, monthly and yearly periods. Thanks to this function you have a perfect check on all end devices of the clients.


Client management

  • End users register including creating graphs of individual clients.
  • Management of client services, used materials, photodocumentation, service interventions, etc.
  • Information messages to the clients enriched by the possibility of collective distribution via e-mails, text messages, or via direct display within the user`s portal.
  • Contract and documents management, backups and client export.
  • Collective invoicing of services for all the clients.


Network management

  • Administration and complex network management.
  • Input and consequent modifications of network devices and routers.
  • The ISPadmin performs automatic settings of firewall, shaping, QOS.
  • A complex support of Linux and Mikrotik routers.
  • The Internet provided through cable television distribution (CATV and DVBT) is further supported by the ISPadmin system. In this case, the system ensures CMTS management as well as cable modems.
  • The favorite monitoring system Nagios is also implemented into the ISPadmin systém and it monitors the logical network topology.
  • Monitoring system is able to monitor devices in the network and report their potential breakdowns.


Statistics

  • Monitoring shows occupied disc space, line utilization, CPU, memories utilization and other statistics.
  • Communication Ping graphs, CPU graphs and graphs of lines utilizations for all the routers at the same time as well as individually.
  • Full reading of information from Mikrotiks using API interface offers detailed statistics and wifi graphs such as signal strength, noise, line duality, etc.
  • Recorded events of a running of the system.
  • Extended statistics of the users offers a complex overview of the number of the customers according to the rates in the course of every year.
  • In case also the NetFlow module is activated, the provider has wide range of records about every client communication which he is obliged to hand in might they be suspicious of illegal behaviour of one of the clients.


Planning module

  • Planning module involves elaborate options for planning activities for technicians and their effective work.
  • The possibility of assigning tasks on a separate screen as well as in each client`s card.
  • Well-arranged display of different periods: Daily / Weekly / Monthly.
  • Colour mark option for planning according to the type and/or task state.
  • Daily or weekly list of tasks sending via e-mail and/or display as a PDF print preview.
  • Complex overview of all the tasks in scheduling with wide possibilities of filtres.
  • All technicians` work overview for a current week.
  • Detailed statement of every technician`s work.


Invoicing module

  • Another component of the system is the invoicing module, which fully solves all the finances associated with ISP.
  • The system is suitable for tax records as well as for double-entry bookkeeping.
  • The system automatically generates client invoices on a monthly basis.
  • Issued invoices are possible to be:
    • Sent via e-mail as a PDF document
    • Sent via postal service
    • Printed for personal delivery
    • Displayed in a client portal
  • Issued invoices may also be exported into accounting systems such as:
    • POHODA
    • Money S3
    • MRP – DOS
    • MRP/KS
    • Omega Cross
    • MELZER profi
    • Abra G2
    • CSV - universal file
  • The system checks invoice remittances according to the imported bank statement, when it can automatically match the payments.
  • Reminder generating to all clients with overlapped terms of payment expiration.
  • In case of payment default, the ISPadmin suspends client`s not paid service until the payment is covered; only then the service becomes available again.
  • The invoicing module also allows issuing of single invoices, figuring out the overpayments, underpayments and inclusions.


Client portal

  • Ensures message and notification delivery, displays contracts and posted documents.
  • Reliable communication with a customer vie web interface protected by a password.
  • Every client has an access to their user`s portalm where issued invoices, remittances, transferred data graphs and information sent by the system provider are to be found.
  • User`s portal may be color-customized for each company.



The following modules are not a standard component of the ISPadmin system, so their purchasing is necessary.


NetFlow module

NetFlow module registers the heading of all packets, in which the IP address, port, time and the protocol type, etc. are saved. These are data which police needs in case one of your clients is suspected of eg. spreading pornography or data sharing. It is thus suitable for legal purposes established by public notice 485/2005 Sb. The data retention period is six months.

NetBackup module

The NetBackup service brings a complete solution to backing up important data as the measures against unwanted HW deletion, failure or its damage. The access to a devoted area on a server is provided by FTP client and also a particular folder and/or file management is provided through the web interface in a user friendly environment.

Dealer module

For the Internet providers Dealer module represents the possibility to digestedly record commissions and payments to their dealers/partners within one system. ISP has contact and statistic information including paid-off and unpaid invoices at disposal. Every dealer has an individual access into their interface, where they can check and monitor state of such commissions in the form of an invoice.

RADIUS (HotSpot) module

A client asking for the Internet connection within the reach of the device, automatically obtains an IP address from DHCP server and at an attempt to open a page in a browser, a login table appears. If the user name and password are accepted, the server authorizes the acces to the internet provider and choses an IP (eventually a range of addresses) and other parameters of the connection, which may be eg. a period of time for which the user can be connected, the connection speed the user can use, eventually some other limitations.
